We had our first snow day of the season!
A big blizzard hit us last night and we ended up with over a foot of snow in a few hours and really strong winds. So school was cancelled and Ben didn't have to go into work. Unfortunately for Ben he spent the whole day sick in bed, but the rest of us were able to have a fun snow day as a family!
Cole decided to brave the storm and shovel our driveway. Ellie didn't quite make it into the snow, she just sat in the garage at the edge of the snow and ate it :) I can't really say anything though because I didn't leave the garage either.
Cole decided it would be fun to have a snowball fight, but it was so cold everything was icy. You can see here a big ice ball in his hand, and next picture it's in the air flying toward Ellie and me!
Ellie and I went inside pretty fast after that one :) I spent the rest of the day staying warm inside and making homemade chicken noodle soup and cinnamon rolls. It was a fun snow day!!
