Santa Express

The kids woke up to a fun surprise today...

...New jammies and a ticket to ride the Santa Express!!

The Polar Express is one of Cole's favorite movies so we have seen it a hundred times, and the kids were super excited to be able to ride a train to the North Pole :)

Santa even boarded the train and gave everyone a sleigh bell!

And it wouldn't be a train ride to the North Pole without a conductor and some hot chocolate!
Even if the hot chocolate tasted like iron :)

We had a super fun train ride to the North Pole!!

A Lot To Be Thankful For

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We were blessed to spend this Thanksgiving with our friends the Pettits and the Adams. We had a perfect Thanksgiving with a ton of delicious food and conversation and a little football.

As usual Ellie pulled a goofy face in every picture. Her pose of choice for the day is what she calls her "monkey" pose. What a clown :)

We have a lot to be thankful for. We are blessed with amazing family and friends, we have everything we need and more, and most importantly we have the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are so blessed and so thankful!

Now I'm off for some major Black Friday shopping!!

Santa Parade

It's not even Thanksgiving and Santa is here! I'm normally against celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving, but we couldn't miss the Santa Parade. He came to Valley West Mall with the crew of the local Nutcracker Ballet. He entered Santa's Village in a red convertible. Yea, Santa is pretty rad :) We went with the Pfeiffers and the Pettits, minus all of the dad's who were busy with med school. We had fun with the free train rides, balloon animals, and crafts!

We finally made our way over to Santa's Village where we got to see Santa!

It was a super fun night! Bring on Thanksgiving so we can start celebrating the Christmas season!!

30!!

Ben turned 30 today!!

I know, the 30th birthday party should look a lot cooler than this. I wanted to throw him a big party to celebrate the monumental occasion, but he has boards tomorrow and next week so he didn't even want to celebrate at all. I convinced him to eat dinner with us and blow out his candles on his oreo cake. We will take him to Red Robin when he is all done with boards next week, but then he is off to interviews so we still can't throw him a party! He doesn't care, says he doesn't want a party anyway, so I guess it's ok.

Happy lame 30th Ben!! We are so lucky to have you! Love you!!
