The Princess is 9 Months!

Well, she's actually 10 months now. We were in Utah when she turned 9 mo and we didn't get her check up until now, so I am finally blogging about it :) My how time flies!

Here's what's new with our baby girl:

Elise is in the 80th %ile for her age : weighs 21 lb. 8 oz. and is 29 in. long :)

She is still our sweet baby most of the time, but she has developed quite the attitude for when she doesn't get her way :) She has even started to mimic Cole's high pitched scream.

She wants to do everything that her big brother does...

Including going potty :) She doesn't really go, but we let her try once because she is so fascinated with the toilet now.

She can still sleep anywhere (even on a boat in a life jacket)!

She pulls herself up to everything and gets into everything as well.

Her favorite activity is to climb to the very top of the stairs...and she does it all day long! (It will be amazing if she doesn't fall and break her arm like her brother)

She still loves to eat shoes :(

She loves to be outside.
She says "Hi" almost every time she sees me :) and is learning to wave.

She also says "ya" "Dad" and occasionally "Mom" (when I tell her to say "mom" she says "dad" every time)

She gives big slobbery kisses that we all love!

She likes to make funny noises with her tongue :)

She has started to dance to music :)

Elise is a roley-poley ball of fun that we just can't get enough of! We love our sweet, angel baby!!

Guess who's 3?!

To celebrate this momentous occasion we invited some of Cole's friends over to play: (Zyan, Eden, Morgan, Coleson, Mylee, Nyah)

It's not a birthday without cupcakes!

Last, but not least, we have the presents:

Thanks Jan & Nyah!

Thanks for the trains Grandma & Grandpa Coombs and GG & Grandpa Green!

After Daddy was done with school we went to the zoo, which is Cole's favorite place lately. Here are the highlights:

We rode the train...

Fed the parakeets...

And saw the giraffes!

It was so hot and humid that we were all wet and sticky by the time we left. So, of course we had to get ice cream!

Phew, that was quite the day! Happy Birthday my Sweet, loving, curious, loud, imaginative, defiant, funny, smart, big boy!!
I love your laugh and how you always make me laugh,
I love how you ask for marshmallows for breakfast, pospsicles for lunch, and pudding for dinner :),
I love that you call Elise "Sweetie Pie" and "Baby Cakes"
I love to sing and dance with you, (especially when you make up the songs yourself),
I love that you give me hugs and kisses and tell me you love me every day,
I love that you drag me outside every day to play so that I don't have to do chores,
I love that you wear big boy underwear now (9 days and going strong!),
I love that you are happy to take all your medicine and do all of your therapy,
I love that you help mommy around the house,
I love to watch you use your imagination to make everything fun,
I love that you take care of your baby sister and make her laugh all day,
I love how I can't stay mad at you because you know how to make me smile,
I love every inch of you and I am so glad that you are mine!!

Great Green Getaway 2010 (AKA Nauvoo)

Casey and I were in charge of the Green get-together this year, so we made my whole family come out to the midwest :) We met in Nauvoo for 4 days and 3 nights of good times!

We were able to attend a session at the beautiful Nauvoo Temple!

We took a wagon ride around Old Nauvoo, and Cole got to pet the horses :)

Before the pageant we got to experience some pioneer activities: Music and Dancing, Log Sawing Contests, and Pulling Handcarts

The Pioneer Pastimes Park had a lot of fun activities: Stilt Walking, Ring Toss, Pioneer Toys, and Pioneer Dress-ups. Yes, that is Cole dressed up with all the girls :)

We went to Carthage Jail:

We got to take an oxen ride, and Cole even pet the oxen!

We saw the 70's Hall (where we had the meeting before my baptism), and where I was baptized (The Mississippi River where the saints crossed to go west)

It was a fun-filled vacation. Thanks for coming fam!
