Ben finally finished boards!! He took the USMLE on July 14th, and the morning of the 15th we were on our way to see GG and Grandpa Green on their mission in Wheeling, WV. It was a long 12 hour drive, but the kids did great!
After a few days "on a mission with GG and Grandpa" as Cole put it, we headed to Washington D.C. where Grandma and Grandpa Coombs met us for 5 fun-filled days. On our way home we decided last minute to stop in Chicago for a few hours.
It was a crazy, busy, and extremely fun trip! We took a TON of pictures, so I am going to do a post for each place visited.
It was a much needed break after two years of med school, and especially boards! We are so lucky that I was able to work so we could go, and that our parents were able to meet us and spend this time with us. It was hard to come back to Iowa and know that our break is over...but it is really nice to be home!
