Brynlee's Blessing

Ben was able to bless our sweet little Brynlee tonight, surrounded by family!

Abbie and Ky also blessed their little Hudson while we had everyone there, so it was a nice big family event! Maryn was nice enough to host everyone in her new house. It was so great to be surrounded by all of the people that we love most! We have the best families!!

 

  

 

Early Christmas

We had a little pre-Christmas celebration today to open all of our presents to each other before we leave for Utah. This way I didn't have to pack a bunch of presents...and it makes the Christmas fun last so much longer!

The kids made us adorable presents at school :) They also had fun opening their sibling gift and their gift from us. It was a fun morning! Now off we go to see our family in Utah!!!

December Fun

Just a few fun things that have happened this month:

*Daddy bought some funny beanies with beards attached and the boys had fun playing around with those :)

 *Ellie had been loving tumbling with Mr. John...and Dax and Brynlee had a little snooze fest one day haha. Yes, that is Dax in the baby seat. He stayed asleep as I carried him in so I got B out of her seat and laid him in it so he'd have a place to sleep...then B fell asleep on my lap. I have to get creative sometimes as a mom of 4 who has to do most of it on my own ;)

 *Ben and I finally got a night out on the town!! We got to get all dressed up and go to the Resident Holiday Party at the Marriott Marquis downtown...And Brynlee tagged along ;) It was a fun night out for me, but it's pretty obvious that Ben is sleep deprived haha.

 *Dax has spent lots of time loving on his baby sister while the big kids are at school. The other day he covered Brynlee in blankets and surrounded her by stuffed animals so she'd be all cozy. She may have felt a little smothered, but he did it all out of love :)

 

 *I think Ben loves having a little baby because it gives him an excuse to sit down and catch up on some much needed sleep as he snoozes with her ;)

Blind Blunder

I was putting something away in the boys room today and noticed a pair of scissors on the floor. I picked them up and asked Dax "Why are there scissors in your room?" Dax replied "It wasn't me, and I didn't cut the blinds." Uh oh, I knew we were in big trouble then. Luckily for him I was too busy trying to hide the fact that I was laughing at his response to get too mad at him. I also gave Ben plenty of notice so he had time to cool off before coming home. After all, I do still love this little munchkin and would hate for his father to kill him ;) This kid sure keeps me on my toes!!

Miller Time

We were blessed to be able to spend the weekend with our good friends, the Millers. They took us in after the tornado and we have been good friends ever since. Unfortunately, they moved up north, just outside of Chicago, so we don't get to see them very often anymore. We headed their way the day after Thanksgiving and were able to spend the entire weekend with them! 

There was lots of playing, a little Ikea shopping, nightly slumber parties, and even a trip to the DuPage Children's Museum!!

Even Baby B got to join in on the sleepover fun ;)

 (Poor Dax was so worn out from our weekend of fun that he slept through most of the time at the children's museum. And sweet little Brynlee was an angel who just chilled in the stroller most of the time)
