All Together

First family photo:
GG and Grandpa brought the kids to meet their new little sister...and they all adore her!! Everyone wanted to hold her and fought over her ;) Dax even held her, but for some reason the pic of him didn't save :/ Baby Brynlee is sure loved around here!!

We decided we couldn't wait to get home to our sweet family, so we are taking baby Brynlee home today! The hospital gave us this cute cake from Trefzgers Bakery...my favorite!! And then we had a little photo shoot while waiting for the doctors to get all the paperwork in and discharge us.

We are so happy that Brynlee is part of our family!

Brynlee Annette Coombs

Our sweet little baby girl was born today, September 22, 2015 at 3:59 PM! She weighs 8 lbs 1 oz and is 20 1/2 in long!
It was a long day for mom, dad and baby. We woke up at 4 am to get to the hospital where I was induced with pitocin. I labored all day until the doctor finally came in and broke my water. Not long after that they told me to push and within 15 minutes our precious little baby girl was born!
She came out screaming and has continued to cry more than she sleeps...we are going to have our hands full with this little one ;) She already has Daddy smitten! She also looks a lot like Cole did as a newborn, so we had to put a bow on her right away ;) We sure love our precious little angel!!

Tooth Trauma

We went on a nice family walk tonight. Grandpa and Ellie decided it wasn't long enough and went on another one together. Ellie took her scooter for that second walk, hit a bump on a driveway and flew over the handlebars face first. She came home with a fat lip and her tooth looking like this:

Luckily, we have a dentist in our ward who graciously opened up his office and extracted her tooth. She was very brave and afterward she said it was a piece of cake ;)

Luckily, it was a baby tooth and would have fallen out in the next year anyway. She has a really swollen lip though and is worried about kids making fun of her at school. I'm a little worried because school pictures are in 2 days ;) On the upside, the tooth fairy gave her an extra dollar and let her keep her tooth! And we got the traumatic incident out of the way BEFORE the baby comes this time!!

Morton Pumpkin Festival

GG and Grandpa are here!! They came to help out when I have the baby...and we are still waiting on the baby so we decided to play ;) We headed over to Morton for the Pumpkin Festival along with Mike and his fam. The kids rode rides and played games, we listened to performers and ate yummy funnel cake, and we hit up the vendors for all of the free stuff! To put it simply, we had a blast!!

The kids are also enjoying having their grandparents here for scripture study!

Thanks for the fun day GG and Grandpa!!
Now, let's get us a new baby sister here!

My Days with Dax

I thought that Dax would have a hard time being the only child left at home while the big kids are at school...and I would have a hard time entertaining him, but we have been having a blast!! This kid is so easy going and fun to be around! He is happy to help me with things or play on his own. The few times he has asked to do something I have been more than happy to stop what I'm doing and do something fun with him. We had a few of those moments this week.
Dax asked to play outside after we got back from the grocery store a couple of days ago. He pulled out his skateboard and we both tried it ;) This kid is a stud!!

Today he asked to walk to the "water park" to play. I didn't realize the water features would still work so he played in the water in his clothes...and he loved it!! It was so fun to see his huge smile as he ran through the water and got soaked to the bone ;)

I sure love my little buddy and I'm so glad that we get to hang out together all day!!

Soccer Star

Cole is officially my soccer star! He started soccer this year and was placed on the yellow team named the Stars. They changed their name to the Highlighters because it is cooler ;)

This kid loves sports and works hard at everything he tries. He is loving soccer and picking up on it quickly. It is a rough sport, but he is learning to be tough and go for the ball.

It's fun to be a "soccer mom" and I love my soccer "star"!!

August Fun

We finished off August with a bang!
We managed another trip to the new children's museum, The Peoria Playhouse, before school started:

We got in one last playdate with the fun Pacheco family. The boys played legos and video games while the girls did makeovers (the zombie look is in, haha):
We had fun while shopping for school supplies:
And started the school year with plenty of sass ;)
I'm down to one kid for shopping trips so we make them fun :)
And the kids got to go to another Lego Club at the library! Cole made a T-rex, Ellie made a house and Dax made a fire boat:

We had a great summer! Now it's time to get ready for a baby!!
