Halloween

We had a fun filled Halloween weekend! Cole and Ellie both had school parties that I was able to help with, we went to the Waukee library party, our branch had a trunk-or-treat, we went trick-or-treating on Beggar's Night and Halloween. Whew! It was a busy but fun holiday.

We went through quite a few costume changes. Cole was a fireman for everything but Beggar's Night, when he was a dinosaur. Ellie was Tinkerbell for her preschool party, Rapunzel for the library party and Trunk-or-treat, and a ballerina kitty for trick-or-treating :). Daxton was the cutest little tiger for everything!

Beggar's Night we went to the assisted living community by our house. They loved the kids, especially baby Daxton :) Then we went trick-or-treating with Morgan, Aubrey, Addy and Eli. We made it home with WAY too much candy!

We had a lot of Halloween fun with our friends in Iowa!

Pumpkins!!

It's that time of year! Cole and Ellie painted pumpkins and Ben whipped out his mad pumpkin carving skills to carve Batman and a fireman. Oh so much fun! We love pumpkin time!!

Blessing Day

Today was Daxton's blessing day!

He was so lucky to have family her. We changed the date of his baby blessing so that GG and Grandpa Green could come, and they brough the 8 yr old cousins with them!

We had to wake him up to go to church and he was hungry so he cried for pictures. As soon as he got his tummy full he was an angel! He didn't make a peep the whole blessing. Ben was able to give him a beautiful blessing. It was a very special day!!

Today was Daxton's special blessing day, but every day is a blessing for our family with this little guy in it!!

He is our super sweet, chubby, smiley guy. We all love him to pieces!

Patch's Pumpkins

We took the cousins to Patch's Pumpkin & Honey Farm today. They weren't too excited to go, but they didn't realize that Iowa pumpkin patches have a lot more to do than just picking a pumpkin. They loved petting the animals, taking a hay rack ride, finding our way in the hay maze, racing rubber ducks, bouncing in the bounce houses, playing in the corn pit and riding the cow train.

The cousins took good care of Ellie at Patch's. Kenzie held her hand so she would pet the goats, and Bronson held her on his lap while Luke held her hand so she felt safe on the wagon ride.  They also love to hold Dax and play with Cole. We have all loved having them here!

Cousins!!

GG & Grandpa Green brought the 8 yr olds (Luke, Bronson and Kenzie) to visit us this weekend. Cole and Ellie were so excited to have them come!! And they were pretty excited they were the first in the family to see Daxton :)

We celebrated their arrival by going to The Incredible Pizza Co. We had a blast playing games, riding rides, driving go karts, mini golfing and just hanging out together! 

We are so glad you came to visit!! Can't wait to see what adventures we have tomorrow!

Field Trip!!

Elise had her first preschool field trip today! 

We went to Williamson's Pumpkin Paradise, a local pumpkin patch.

Ellie had lots of fun with her best buds, Iylie and Marlee.

There were lots of pumpkins (of course), a huge tire swing, a hay maze, a barrel train, lots of animals to see and feed, and a corn pit to play in.

I couldn't resist getting a picture of the cutest pumpkin in the patch :)
