B-ballin'

Cole was able to play basketball through a program called Upward this year. It's a christian program where the kids learn about a different christlike quality every practice, they try to do fair time playing and enforce good sportsmanship, and there is an object lesson every half time. They also introduce the kids at the beginning of every game as they run out onto the court...and they even have cheerleaders :) It was a really great experience for Cole. He didn't have to miss any practices or games because they never play on Sundays, so he was able to improve a lot this year and become one of the best on his team which really built his confidence. One game he even scored 16 points! It's been really fun for us to watch as well, because come on, who doesn't love a good basketball game?! ;)

Here are a few pics we got from their general photographer:

The Day of Love

Happy Valentine's Day!
I'm not sure why I love this day so much. It really has no significant meaning and we really should show people we love them every day. I guess it's just fun to have an extra excuse to party and buy candy ;)
Valentine's Day is on a Sunday this year, so the kids celebrated at school Friday. I figured out how to put a couple hearts in Ellie's hair for her party and I got to help out in Cole's classroom at his party!! It was a fun day!

I let the kids have a sleepover in the living room because it's a holiday ;) I love how Ellie ended up sleeping...it almost looks like she fell asleep praying, haha. And it warms this mama's heart to see my boys sharing the spin chair!

Today my loves woke up to Star Wars Valentine's because they are all obsessed with Star Wars right now :) And because it's always fun to have an excuse to eat donuts, we had valentine colored donuts and bacon of course! Unfortunately Ben had to work so he missed out on all the fun. I'm sure glad I have my cute kiddos to celebrate with when my #1 is unavailable!

Aren't my Valentine's adorable?!!

Solid

This baby girl is finally what she eats...solid ;)
Lame jokes aside, Brynlee had her first solid food today! We tried feeding her some rice cereal today, but I think she was more interested in the bib and the spoon than the cereal, haha.
Baby Brynn Brynn is such a cute little chunk and we just love her to pieces!!!

Car Destroyer

Cole rocked it at the Pinewood Derby today! He had the great idea of making his car look the Star Destroyer, and his awesome Daddy helped his idea come to life. Cole cleverly called his car the Car Destroyer ;) It wasn't the fastest car, but he won first place for design!

Baby Snuggles

We just can't get enough of the baby snuggles around here! Everytime I turn around someone else is snuggling with Baby Brynn Brynn. Ellie even asks us regularly to come eat lunch with her at school so she can get some baby snuggles at school ;) Sometimes I wonder if Brynlee will ever learn to crawl or do anything on her own because she is always being held. This baby girl sure is loved around here!

January Fun

Daddy had fun with Brynlee the other night while I was at a CE class. He sent me pics and I started laughing right during the lecture :)

I got myself a chocolate pen for Christmas and we had fun experimenting with it the other night:

Dax made up a game called Marble Soccer where you blow a marble across the counter and try to get it past the other person. It was a surprisingly super fun and we had a blast playing it!

We sure do have creative fun around here!
