Another Day at the Zoo

The weather is still beautiful so we figured it was time to head back to our awesome zoo...even if not all of the animals were out for the season yet. 

We had a blast in the Australian Outback watching the wallabies, emus and peacocks walk around with us. There was one wallaby baby that kept hopping around right where we were and the kids were in heaven!

We also were able to see the tigers, the new sea lion exhibit, a few monkeys, the fishes, goats, and of course the playground.

It was another fun zoo adventure...the Blank Park Zoo never lets us down!

All Tuckered Out

I guess we played a little too hard today :)

I started to make dinner and looked over to find both kiddos asleep on the couch. They aren't going to go to bed tonight, but these moments are so precious I just had to bask in it for a minute.

I love my sweet kiddos!!

Kansas City

We are trying to take advantage of all of Ben's free time during this ER rotation. We headed down to Missouri this week for the Kansas City Temple open house. We went Wednesday night after the ultrasound and stayed in a hotel that night. The kids were in heaven on the pull-out couch...they both chose the couch instead of the extra bed :) 

Thursday morning we went to see the new temple. It was beautiful and an amazing experience for our kids to see the beauty inside the temple and learn more about what we do when we go.

After the tour of the temple we went to Independence to the fun Visitors Center where the kids learned more about the pioneers.

We also went to see the Liberty Jail and learn more about Joseph Smith's imprisonment there. It was a really fun church history-filled day!

I am grateful for Joseph Smith and all of the pioneers, for all of the sacrifices that were made so that my family can have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives today. I am also grateful for temples and the covenants we are able to make there so that we can be an eternal family and return to our Father in heaven. It was so good to have this time as a family to remember what matters most and realize how blessed we really are!

Ultrasound Baby #3...boy or girl?!

We had our targeted ultrasound for baby #3 today!!

It's a boy!!

And he has a really big... 

...foot :)

At 22 weeks his feet are already measuring almost two inches! He is going to be one tall guy, just like his daddy!

Daddy's Day

My two guys headed off to school today...together! 

Today was Daddy's Day at preschool and luckily Ben had the day off so he could go with Cole. Ben got to meet Cole's teachers and friends and see what Cole does every day. It was a fun morning for both Cole and Ben!

Happy Easter!!

We had a fun filled Easter weekend!

We went to the DMU Spring Eggstravaganza and made bank at the hunt:

We went to our branch BBQ and Easter egg hunt at the Pence's house and had a blast as usual:

Easter morning we went on a hunt for our baskets and hidden eggs. We had so much fun and got so many goodies from the easter bunny this year :)

And of course we went to church and were spiritually fed by all of the Easter lessons.

I am so thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for His atonement and all He has done for us. I know He lives, and for that I am forever grateful!

Omaha Zoo

Ben had a day off and we decided to head to Omaha for the zoo and the temple.

We had a swingin' good time at the zoo :)

We love a good aquarium!

(but it's hard to take good pictures because it's so dark)

The favorite animals today were the giraffes and the gorillas:

Ben got some good video of a huge gorilla charging the looking glass where some Amish women were sitting. He also got some interesting footage of ostrich's mating...it's quite the show :)

We had a super fun day at the zoo! Afterward we got to hang out at the Winter Quarters Temple and visitor's center while Ben and I took turns doing sessions. It was a great mini-cation for us!!
