My kids have a thing for shoes...kind of like their mother :) We were at Kohl's the other day and Cole said to me "I'm going to go to the shoes, I'll be right back." I thought he was going to run down the shoe aisle, but when he didn't come right back I went looking for him.
This is what I found:
Cole had found a pair of Lightning McQueen sandals and was trying them on.
Me: "Cole, what are you doing?"
Cole: "Mommy, these are my favorite flip-flops!"
Me: "Those aren't even the right size" and then on closer inspection "Hey, those are the right size!" Every shoe lover knows their size.
Cole: "I need to buy them and wear them!"
Me: "We are not spending $30 on a pair of sandals you'll wear for 2 months."
Cole: "Please my favorite mommy!" said with this face:
Me: "Okay, go ask Daddy" (I'm a push over when he's cute)
Cole: "Daddy, can I buy my favorite flip-flops?"
Ben: "No, go put them back" (And I always thought he would be the softie)
Elise also loves shoes. But she loves them for a different reason :)
El's favorite teethers are shoes. She doesn't care if someone is wearing them or not. We have to keep a close eye on this one. :)
