Bye-Bye Rental House!

We are back in our house!! It's not quite done, but we have moved everything out of our rental house and into our house. We get to live among the construction for a few weeks, but we are glad to be back!

We just left our rental house for the last time, after cleaning and mowing. We will really miss the huge yard with all the cute squirrels, and the kids will miss their friend Quinn from next door. It was a good temporary home (most of the time) but we are so glad to be able to move back home and move on with life!

Goodbye 308 Dundee!!

Moving

We had an eventful weekend moving!
Whether it was the rental house or back at our "broken" house my bed ended up pretty crowded:

We have spent hours and hours cleaning both houses...but Dax just mostly cleaned himself :)

We have been in between kitchens and eating randomly and unhealthy, but the kids are enjoying it :) They were ecstatic when they talked me into going to Steak N Shake because they love it and Ben and I don't. It was a fun treat for a crazy time!

All the craziness and hard work is worth it though because we LOVE our "new, old, not so broken anymore" house!!

7!!

I have a 7 yr old!! My baby is all grown up :)
We started out his birthday by making a yummy chocolate cake with fire frosting. The kids were all very helpful in cleaning up :)

Cole got to open one present early: a Planes Fire and Rescue helicopter to put on his cake

In the afternoon we took his BFF's (Josh, Vance, Addie and Sophie) to the Washington Park Pool:

After a few hours of swimming we went to the playground to "put out some fire" and eat, have cake and ice cream and open presents:

Hope you had an awesome 7th birthday Cole buddy! We love you so much!! You are my sweet little man, Daddy's little buddy, and your brother and sister want to do everything just like you :) You are super smart, sweet and tender hearted, a funny little jokester and a faithful kid. Love you to the moon and back!!!

Blue Jays

We finally made it to a Blue Jays game! The seats were way up at the very top, but we could still see the game really well and we had a great view of the top of Toronto :) We really didn't care where our seats were as long as we were with our family.

The kids also loved riding a bus to the game. It made for a late night, but it sure beat driving in traffic. It was a great last night in Canada!!

Happy Early Birthday Party

Cole really wanted to have a family birthday party, so we went to a park with all the cousins and had a picnic and cupcakes!

It was fun for Cole to extend his birthday celebrations and celebrate with a bunch of his cousins...and we always love an excuse for a cupcake :) Happy 7th birthday buddy!!

Toronto Mission and Temple

We were able to go to church with GG and Grandpa today. After church they showed us around their office where they work all day:

Then we drove to the temple for those of us who didn't get to go do baptisms yesterday to see the beautiful Toronto Temple:

Afterward we got to see GG and Grandpa's apartment and have a Sunday family dinner. It is so great to be with family!!

Toronto

The plan for today was to see downtown Toronto, and most importantly a Blue Jays game :) GG and Grandpa were the only ones that could use cell phones though so by the time we all made it downtown and met in front of the stadium the tickets were sold out. We got to see the CN tower while we waited, and the kids got a lot of good playing with cousins and jumping on Teancum in :)

There was a new company demonstrating their toy guns right by the stadium so the kids also got a lot of target practice :)

My kids were really disappointed when they found out we couldn't go to the baseball game...until they found out we got to go to a train museum! It was a fun museum with a little train we all rode, a subway train we got to explore, and model trains to see and play with.

We ended the fun day by going out to a chinese buffet and letting the kids run wild :) And finally, we made it to the hotel swimming pool:

The day didn't turn out as planned, but it was great just being with family!!
