Bronchiolitis

Dax has been sick the last week. I thought it was just a bad cold, but he has just been lying around and crying the last few days :( It's so sad! We finally took him to the Prompt Care and found out his oxygen levels were low and he has bronchiolitis! Poor baby!!

Ben has been reveling in all of the snuggle time though, so I guess it's not all bad :)

Cherry Festival and/or Good Neighbor Days

Cole, Ellie and I had a date night at Washington's Good Neighbor Days, Previously known as the Washington Cherry Festival! It was a blast!!
The kids were too nervous to ride the big rides...until we ran out of tickets. Then Cole wanted to ride all of the rides :) Maybe next year buddy. This year they got to do:
Bumper Cars

The Jeep ride and the spinny pumpkin ride (I don't remember their official names)

The not so super Super Slide :)

The one big ride that Cole dared to go on was called the Tornado...go figure!

We ran into Cole's best friend, Josh, and his family and the kids rode all of the rides together. They had a ton of fun...until we ran out of tickets and then Cole and Josh were both in tears. Life is rough when you are 6! We ended up finding free balloons and water bottles and everyone was happy again :) It was a great night!!

A Memorable Memorial Day

It's a happy Memorial Day at our house because Daddy got the day off work!!
We made the most of our day by going to Detweiller Park in Peoria. We had a picnic lunch (that Dax slept through), hiked the trails, and played on the playgrounds.

The kids had so much fun hiking and playing they didn't want to leave...but I bribed them with ice cream :) We headed over to Emack and Bolio's for some yummy ice cream to cool off after our adventures in the park.
We ended the day with a BBQ off course! It was a perfect holiday for our little family!!
I didn't get very many pics because we were way too busy enjoying our day :)

Beautiful Nature in Our Own Backyard!

I REALLY don't like our rental house. But I REALLY love the yard!!

We have big old trees with beautiful blossoms that the birds and squirrels love. Dax loves to sit at our front window and watch the squirrels run through the trees. We also love to whistle at the cardinals that are always in our trees. And the backyard is huge! It's such a fun yard for the kids, and I love to watch them run and discover. I will not miss this house when we get to move back into our house, but I will really miss the yard!

Goodbye Little Lambs

Ellie had her last day of preschool and end of the year concert today. I was so proud of her for actually singing and doing all of the actions this time!! She did so good and was adorable!

Ellie is really going to miss preschool. She loved Miss Kristen and all of her friends! They were sure a crazy fun bunch of kiddos :)

(Ellie, Payton, Vivienne, Jack, Kendall...not pictured Hailey)

And Dax sure enjoyed the cookies after the concert :)

Build and Grow

We attended a cute little workshop at Lowe's today. They call it "Build and Grow" and they give the kids their own little kits to build something on their own. Today we built flower delivery trucks in honor of Mother's Day tomorrow. It was super fun!! And aren't those little hammers the cutest?!

1st Grade Edition of Where's Waldo

Cole had his 1st Grade Concert tonight. It was kind of like a game of Where's Waldo trying to find him :)

Don't they all look so excited? :)
Cole LOVES music class, so I thought he would be more excited about his concert. Tonight proved that he doesn't like singing in front of a crowd...and that only a select few did most of the concert and the rest of the kids were the bored backup choir. He was a good sport though and I think he ended up having a little bit of fun. I know I had fun watching him!

Little Slugger

All of my boys are loving baseball season! Cole asks me to play with him everyday after school, even if he has practice that night, and Dax always tries to get in on the action:

Dax is currently going through the "look away and frown when I see the camera" phase, so these pictures of him smiling and saying cheese proves just how happy he is when he has a bat and ball in his hands!
Cole on the other hand is going through a "don't take any pictures, lets just play" phase :)

Dreams Do Come True

Ben's a radiologist!!
He survived a ridiculously hard intern year and gets to live the dream of sitting in a dark room with his films and dictaphone :)
So proud of you babe!!
