All Tuckered Out

Poor Ellie. She was being her usual angel self and I didn't even realize how tired she was. One day she will learn that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, a fact that her brother constantly takes advantage of. In the meantime...she gets naps in her jumper.

Cereal

Ellie has been very interested in food lately. She watches us intently when we eat, and if she can reach it she grabs it and takes it straight to her mouth. I've been letting her chew on spoons, and today there was something on her spoon...her first taste of rice cereal! I figured she would end up spitting most of it out because she is still young and isn't supposed to be able to swallow well, but surprisingly she ate it all!! We all know she loves to eat so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. My baby is growing up way too fast. As usual we took a million pictures:

Notice the clean bib!

Patient of the Day

Guess who was in the hospital, again? Cole is getting pretty comfortable there. He went under anesthesia today for the fourth time in his 2 1/2 yrs of life...and he did awesome! He was such a good boy the whole time. As usual, he was a big goofball and entertained the nurses and other patients in the recovery room. Cole was the best patient there! Everything went really smoothly and Cole was happy the whole time, but we are sure glad it's over. Hopefully this will be the last time we have to do this.

We didn't get any pics in the hospital, but here is an after shot showing the damage: a green "bandaid" on his elbow from the IV, neon bandaids on his knees from the joint injections, and his 4th popsicle of the day. Bandaids and popsicles...what more could a little boy want?

Perfect end to a Horrible day

Yes, that is puke. The cherry on top of a full day of cleaning up vomit, a bajillion baths, and continuous loads of laundry. I was putting clean sheets on his bed, again, so Cole could go to bed, and he decided to rock on the horse while he waited. Unfortunately for Ellie she was lying on the blanket you see in the picture. Cole managed to cover himself, the horse, my legs, and Ellie's face in vomit. It has been a long day.
